Prof. Vanja Asanović Participated as an Invited Speaker at NanoTech Poland 2026

Poznań, Poland, 8-11 June 2026

Prof. Vanja Asanović, from the Faculty of Technology, University of Montenegro, participated as an invited speaker at the 15th International Conference NanoTech Poland 2026 & NIBS Conference, held from 8 to 11 June 2026 at the Morasko Campus of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.

At the event, Prof. Asanović delivered an invited lecture entitled “Tailoring Hydrogen Desorption in MgH₂ through Transition Metal Doping”, presenting findings developed in collaboration with researchers from the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Serbia. The presentation explored how mechanochemical processing and transition-metal additives influence the microstructural evolution and hydrogen desorption behaviour of magnesium hydride (MgH₂), one of the most promising materials for solid-state hydrogen storage. Special emphasis was placed on comparing the effects of vanadium and molybdenum additions and examining the interplay between composition, processing conditions, microstructure, and hydrogen-release performance. These findings contribute to ongoing efforts to develop advanced materials for hydrogen storage and to support the transition toward sustainable, low-carbon energy systems.

Recognised as an established international forum dedicated to nanotechnology, biomaterials and advanced materials, applications, NanoTech Poland brings together researchers, industry representatives, and experts from around the world.

Prof. Asanović’s participation provided an opportunity to showcase the University of Montenegro’s scientific achievements, strengthen international research cooperation, and exchange knowledge with leading experts in hydrogen technologies and advanced functional materials.
